women
evens are women

Oh no, I am forced to have to be a size 0 because I'm not actually a real size.

I wish I was bigger so I can have a real size, I'm going to go eat a lot of food now. You have no idea how sad it is being a size 0!! Is there any medication to make a girl bigger?

I hate the zippers on women's pants, shorts and the like...they'll randomly zip down for no reason while your walking or just sitting and they're too short....

It reminds me of this quote from "Beauty and the Geek" series where the guys had to find clothes for the girls and when one asked his partner what size she wore and got the response "size 0" he later commented to the camera: "Size /zero/?! How is that possible? You shouldn't even exist to be a size /zero/."

Oh God, I so understand you. Don't know how sizes work in the US (your tiny scale confuses me!) but even here, where pants for women will range from like 30 (size of a child) to 60 (really large...might be larger, I donno) sometimes the sizes are too damn confusing. I hate that. I have really large hips and thighs and finding pants that'll fit me properly is nightmarish, I tell ya. -.-;

Depending on where it is my size changes. I can be a 0 in one store and a 14 in another. It`s strange womans sizes. I can`t fit into "small" but I can be a 0. What is this I don`t even... @ A@

And so women must suffer "vanity sizing" since some dude thought it was immodest to ask a lady her measurements...way back when. Doesn't help us gals in the present!

*sigh* I relate to the little one. I have a friend who I really dislike going clothes shopping with, because everything out of her mouth is complaining about sizes and making snide remarks just like the one in the comic. I understand why she's frustrated, but sometimes it feels like she verbally takes it out on me personally, just because I fit smaller sizes than her. I can't step in a clothing store with her (even a plus-size store when we're specifically shopping for her) without her essentially making me feel guilty for having the nerve to wear clothing at all. It makes for an entirely unpleasant shopping experience. :|

I don't think you really understand then. She's not angry at YOU, she's angry at clothes designers. And she has a right to be, women's clothes sizes make absolutely NO sense, you can get a smaller size and it's too large, or you can get a larger size and it's too small. There are never real clothes sizes. She probably doesn't even care about you fitting into smaller sizes, she just mentions that she's frustrated, and you don't feel like trying to relate to her so you just get all angry about nothing. There's no point in shopping with friends if no one is allowed to make comments except you, instead of getting angry at her, just go by yourself next time.

She words them at me, though. That's the problem. I understand her frustration, and even at my size, stores mess with my head (some stores I'm small, some I'm large, and there's no chance in hell I'm ordering online without a sizing chart, because I usually end up with a shirt that fits me like a dress.) but the comments don't need to become snide remarks about me.

And in relation to the comic, what is one supposed to feel when someone says to you that you're not a "real size"? Is it a common size? Maybe not. But I'm pretty sure I exist, therefore I'm a real size, and a real person.

You said you only FELT that the comments were meant to be at you. That doesn't mean they were, and it could just be your mind making you think that. You actually have to TALK to her about it to actually DO something about it, saying things on the internet don't do anything, but make people seem very whiny. But that's a rant, and rants are whiny and everyone does it, just mostly not about real life situations.

No one said that to you, so you need not get offended by it. (I was going to say something about America having freedom of speech, but checked and say that you were also lived in Canada). Comments like that are usually not directed to anyone in particular, they're just frustrated comment. It's like someone not smart angry that they can't be intelligent too so they say "I hate smart people", it's not directed to anyone, and they don't actually hate intelligent people, they're just frustrated at their situation.
I'm kind of neutral about this topic because I used to be a tad overweight but lost that, so now I'm just average, but still find clothes strangely fitting, and get angry about it, and make rude comments, but I don't actually ever mean it.
